What you should know about the cause, symptoms and treatment for eczema in children
What is Eczema
First of eczema is not a contagious condition. It is commonly described as a skin condition that manifests itself as an inflammation of the epidermis or outer layer of our skin.
Eczema is a fairly common condition in infants. The problem with children is that I can not tell you anything. So it’s up to mom and dad to find the cause of skin and to control it.
There are three main types of eczema in children found: -
Atopic eczema or atopic dermatitis, sometimes called.
Infants with atopic eczema are believed to be highly responsive to allergen herediary or caused by a genetic predisposition. The immune system works as a result, overtime, then that makes the skin sore and sensitive.
Atopic eczema in infants is usually worse behind the knees, elbows, neck, front of ankle and wrist.
It must be kept moist with cream so that it causes the skin to become dry and crack.
It also seems especially bloches red as on other parts of the body, including legs, arms, face, trunk and even the top of the head and sometimes ears.
Contact dermatitis or eczema
This occurs when the baby’s skin comes into contact with particular
chemicals or food. This type of eczema may be limited to a certain extent. Chemical, food or irritants can be removed for a period of time and then re-introduced in order to discover which foods cause or worsen irritant to the skin.
The usual causes of contact eczema in children ranging from:
an allergic reaction to something in their environment
a reaction to a particular food
reaction of soaps and detergents
Seborrhoeic eczema
This is generally found in children under twelve months of age. It ‘s the common name of cradle cap. May cause the child to have peeling or flaky oily scalp and eyebrows and sometimes on the condition face.This should not be allowed to develop in severe cradle cap.There are several other less common forms of eczema. In infants it must be careful with mushrooms conditionsassociated eczema to be followed by its practitioner.However general, the good news is that eczema can be controlled and it is not necessary to take control of the child’s life.
